Footprints Fun Day
Every year in June, we hold a Fun Day where children and their families can enjoy a variety of games, activities, and stalls, along with a burger or hot dog from our barbecue. Our staff work incredibly hard to organise the event and generously give up their Saturday to make it a success. Our social committee also
supports the day by providing their own stalls. We are usually very lucky with the weather, and the day is always filled with laughter, enjoyment, and a strong sense of community, making it a much-loved event for everyone involved.
Footprints Easter Egg Hunt
Our Easter Egg Hunt takes place just before Easter and is organised by our social committee. In preparation, the children decorate paper eggs, which are then hung on trees in the woods. On the day, the children excitedly follow the Easter Bunny on a walk to the woods, where they search for their own egg. Once their egg is found, it is brought back to the nursery and exchanged for a chocolate egg. This much-loved event is a wonderful opportunity for children to enjoy the outdoors, take part in a shared celebration, and create lasting memories.
Nativity
Every year at Christmas, our school leavers perform a Nativity to which parents are warmly invited. The children and staff work incredibly hard to learn the songs and narrative, and everyone involved thoroughly enjoys the experience, often continuing to talk about it well into the following year. For most children, this is their first experience of performing in front of an audience. It is a valuable opportunity to build self-esteem, confidence, and a sense of achievement, while also developing communication skills, cooperation, and pride in their accomplishments.
Celebrating 20 years of Footprints !
In March 2025, Footprints celebrated its 20th anniversary. To mark this special milestone, a celebratory dinner was held at The Onslow Arms and was attended by staff and directors. It was a wonderful evening filled with thoughtful gifts, heartfelt speeches, and dancing, providing a memorable celebration of 20 years of Footprints.
