How to apply for your child to join our friendly nursery
1. Book a visit
There is no better way to learn about a nursery than going to visit it in person. We always recommend that you come and visit our setting before deciding if it is right for your child. We will show you around our nursery setting, visiting the rooms and meeting some of the staff and answering any questions you may have. Please book a visit, or get in touch if you would like discuss your child’s place further.
2. Complete your registration form
3. Submit an administration fee
Once we have received your completed application form, we will notify you via email and request payment for a £50 administration to secure your child’s place.
4. Final deposit
4 weeks before your child is due to start at the nursery we will request final deposit equivalent to one month’s fees. This is needed to complete the admissions process prior to your child’s first day.
5. Prepare for your child's first day
When your final deposit has been received we will send you a welcome letter informing you of your child’s first date at the nursery, the settling in process and how to prepare for your child’s first day.
Please note, we are subject to high-levels of demand for places in the nursery. Early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. We do not run a waiting list for those children we are currently unable to accommodate due to demand for extra days from our current families.
Other things you need to know
Fees are charged monthly in advance by standing order only. There is no refund for sickness or holidays. Part day sessions are only available for children over the age of three. For full details visit the fees and funding page.
Once you have decided to choose Footprints for the care of your child, a £50 administration fee will be charged to cover the time and paperwork that is needed to place them on our administration system. Every effort will be made to ensure you are given the days/sessions you prefer, however, it may be necessary to discuss an alternative. A deposit equal to one month’s fees will be payable on acceptance of a place. This will secure the place and will be held until two months’ notice is given and used in payment/part payment of the last month’s fees. In the absence of notice being given it will be retained in lieu of notice. The deposit is non-returnable in the event that your child does not take up his/her place. Two months’ notice must be given of your intention to reduce your child’s sessions. A holding fee may be payable if a booking is accepted more than two months in advance.
